How far in advance can you make a table service dinner reservation for lunch or dinner if you are not staying on property?

    Hi there, Steve,

Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question.  We are glad you are here!

It is with deepest pride and greatest pleasure that we welcome you to our culinary cabaret or as some would call it, Walt Disney World Resort Dining! You are going to love all the options you will find at Walt Disney World. With about 90 full-service restaurants, there is something for everyone. As Lumiere says, “Tie your napkin ‘round your neck, cherie, and we’ll provide the rest!”

Steve, I’m happy to share with you that all Guests, no matter if they are staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel or at another location, can begin making Advanced Dining Reservations 60 days prior to the desired date. Now, one of the benefits of being a Disney resort hotel Guest is that you are able to make reservations for the length of your stay (up to a 10-day stay) beginning on the 60-day mark, which makes it easier to secure harder to get reservations.

To make your reservations, you may go to the Walt Disney World Resort website and hover your mouse over the Things to Do tab, and then select Make Reservations. From there you can peruse the whole menu of dining venues that accept reservations. You can view the actual menus of each restaurant, too!

You can also make dining reservations in the My Disney Experience app, which is great for making reservations on the go, too. There are two simple ways to use the app to make reservations. If you want to see what is available for the time and date you desire, at the bottom of the home screen, select the “+” sign, and then Check Dining Availability, and then just follow the prompts. If you have a specific restaurant you are hoping for, select the search feature (the magnifying glass shaped icon) and then enter the restaurant you are looking for in the search box. Once the location opens, just scroll over to Reserve Dining. It’s as simple as that!

Steve, I hope this information will help you achieve your dining adventures, “course by course, one by one, ‘til you shout, enough! I’m done!” If you have any other questions, know that we welcome you back to be our Guest here at planDisney.

    Wishing you many magical memories,
    Shannon
