    How far in advance should we make reservations for resorts and Mickey's cafe if we are planning a trip in January?

    Hi, Amanda!  As soon as you know what dates you would like to travel, I would go ahead and book your vacation.  You will get the best chance of booking at the resort of your choice in the room category of your choice with as much advanced notice as you can give.  Now is not too soon to book in January, especially if you are hoping to book over a long weekend, like Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday weekend.

    You can make your advanced dining reservations 90 days prior to your meal.  If you are staying at a Walt Disney World resort, you can book 90 days plus 10, meaning you can call 90 days from the day you arrive to book dining reservations for up to 10 days.  That saves you from having to call back for every day of your vacation. 

    Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary Resort is a VERY popular dining experience, and you will find the longer you wait to book, the harder it will be to have a meal there.  I would say as soon as your 90 day window opens up, you call and make your reservations.  You can call 407-WDW-DINE to obtain your dining reservations.
