How far in advance should you make reservations and buy tickets. We will be going to Disneyland in about 1 month.

A warm welcome from all of us at planDisney to you, Jolene. We're so glad you found us to ask this question.

I'm so excited to hear about your upcoming trip to the Disneyland Resort. A valid theme park ticket and theme park reservation are required for entrance into both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. Theme park tickets can be purchased and reservations can be made up to 180 days in advance of your visit. With many schools getting ready to end for summer soon, I recommend purchasing your tickets as soon as you can. I checked the Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar and see that there are reservations available for both parks on the day of your visit (subject to change).

You are going to have so much fun. Pixar Fest is in full swing and there are so many wonderful things to experience during this celebration of friendship and beyond. I really enjoyed the parade, Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration! at Disney California Adventure Park. My favorite part was seeing Mei's dad in the cardboard panda costume. All of the floats are so playful and the song is so catchy it's still dancing in my head.

Jolene, I hope this helps as you start planning your magical adventure. I hope you have your best Disney day at the Happiest Place on Earth! Let the countdown to the magic begin!
