Hello, Tera! Thank you for taking the time to visit the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We're so glad you're considering becoming a member of the Walt Disney World Passholder Family! I display my Mickey magnet on my car with pride. Even though I live out of state, when I add in all of the
extras and benefits, including unlimited
PhotoPass downloads, this purchase becomes surprisingly affordable, especially if you visit more than once a year.
Currently, the date of expiration for Annual Passes is December 31, 2030, so you can purchase your
Annual Passes well in advance of your trip with no worries. However, make sure that it is linked to your
My Disney Experience account, and then you'll be able to see the date your Annual Pass will expire (if it is not yet activated) by visiting the
Passholder Program page on the Walt Disney World website. Your start date doesn't begin until you physically
activate your pass at any Walt Disney World theme park ticket window, and you'll need to bring along a valid photo ID (which shows
proof of Florida residency) and your MagicBand or confirmation email. The Cast Member will then hand you that coveted yellow Passholder card that you'll need to carry with you to receive your merchandise and dining discounts. It's like your very own Golden Ticket!
I like to visit the
Special Offers page for exclusive Annual Pass discounts on Walt Disney World Resort hotel rooms. As long as your pass is linked, you are eligible for these offers, even before your pass is activated; just show your AP card to the front desk when you check-in for verification.
Mickey and I hope to see ya' real soon, Tera!
