How far in advance can I plan a trip to Disney?

Welcome to planDisney, Kurtis! I'm so glad to be able to answer your question today. It sounds like we have a lot in common because I'm always thinking about my next trip to Walt Disney World Resort, and I firmly believe it is never too early to start planning. There are some dates you'll need to keep in mind throughout the planning process, so let's jump right in and chat about them!

I see you're thinking about booking a vacation for the fall of 2025, so you will probably be able to book your vacation package sometime in the spring of 2024. This year, vacation packages for 2024 became available for booking on May 31, 2023, so you can probably expect a similar date next year. Keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog, which is where you'll hear about any exciting updates regarding 2025 vacation packages!

Between now and then, I recommend you start researching the different Disney Resorts Collection Hotels and think about where you want to stay. This will be the first thing you book, along with your Theme Park tickets, so it's a good idea to go into the booking period knowing where you want to be for your vacation! My favorite Resort Hotels include Disney's Pop Century Resort in the Value Resort category, Disney's Coronado Springs Resort in the Moderate Resort category, and Disney's Yacht Club Resort in the Deluxe Resort category. There is a Resort Hotel for every family, every personality type, and every preference, so really take your time to check out the location and amenities for each one and decide which one you like!

I hope this answers your question, Kurtis, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation.
