How far in advance should I place a mobile order? Let’s say we want to have lunch around 12 noon - do I go on MDE app around 11:30 am to place my order? What’s a good rule of thumb when doing a mobile order? Thanks!

    Hi Diane!

Enjoying many of the dining locations throughout the Walt Disney World Resort is one of our favorite things to do when we visit!  Unfortunately, because the food is all so delicious, many other Guests like to eat at the same times we do!  To avoid the lines at some of our favorite Quick-Service dining locations, we use Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering!

When you place an order, you will see a little button pop up that says, "I'm Here, Prepare My Order."  You will press this button to say that you have arrived at the restaurant, which indicates to the Cast Members at the dining location that you are there and are ready to enjoy your scrumptious goodies.  This magical little button means that you won't have to wait in line to order your food, but it will still be hot once you get it!  Just click the button, walk up to the Mobile Order Pick Up sign, and wait for your name to be called!  This button also means that you don't have to order your food at any particular time!

Because of this, as soon as you know where you would like to eat, you can order your food (as long as that dining location is open).  When you go to order your food, you will also see the time range when your order can be picked up, which is generally the operating hours of the dining location.  If you would like to eat around noon, you can order as soon as that dining location is open, or you can wait until you are ready to eat!  Either way, your order won't be prepared until you to click the magic "I'm Here" button!

One thing to remember is that Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering is sometimes unavailable during transition times, like when a restaurant is transitioning from breakfast to lunch.  If this happens, you can either wait in line or place your order later.

Have a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow!
