How far in advance do you need to make reservations for a character breakfast?

    Mary,

It really depends on a number of factors.  What time of year you are traveling, where you want to dine, what time of day, what day of the week, how many in your party...  Generally speaking, all table service meals should be removed as soon as possible, the earlier the better.

If you are traveling during a school holiday or a busy period like Spring Break or summer, this is especially true.  Some restaurants are more popular than others.  Breakfast at Cinderella's Royal Table is THE most coveted reservation in all of Disney World, but any meal in the castle or at Akershus (Princess Storybook Dining) will book rather quickly year-round.  Weekends are often busier than weekdays, and peak times for meals will be harder to secure as well.  For example, if dinner is served from 5-10 pm, the 6-8 pm reservations will fill fastest.  Finally, smaller groups (especially a party of 2) are easier to fit in than large groups.  If you wait you may find that all of the larger party tables are already filled and your group will have to sit at 2 separate tables.

    Good luck!
