How far in advance can you do mobile Check In. How do I let all adults in my party share in the planning? Do they all have to have a Disney account and then make a MyDisneyExperience? I want all of us to be able to try for a boarding group for ROTR@HS.

    Hi there, Lurline!

I am so excited you’re going to be visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth! Nothing beats hitting the Theme Parks with a fun group!

I love the convenience of Online Resort Check-In! This way, you skip the front desk, and are able to head straight to your Resort hotel room once it’s ready for you! You can even unlock your door through your My Disney Experience mobile app! Online check-in will be available to you starting 60 days prior to your arrival!

Lurline, My Disney Experience makes it easy to plan your vacation with your party. All the adults in your party can create an account, but you will need to make sure you all add each other to your Family & Friends list, as well. To add your party to your "My Family & Friends” list, head to the Walt Disney World Resort website, and locate the “My Family & Friends” under the My Disney Experience tab. Scroll to the bottom of the list and select “Add a Guest.” You can connect by entering your Resort hotel reservation number, which I find to be the easiest! You can also connect by selecting “I’ll enter their name and age” and fill in the required fields. Once you hit “Invite this Guest to connect,” they will receive an invitation to connect with you through their email. When they accept the invitation, you are able to start planning together!

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is an experience that is out of this galaxy! It has become one of my favorite attractions, and I am so glad to see it is a priority for you and your party! First and foremost, Lurline, Guests will need to have Disney Park Pass reservations to visit Disney’s Hollywood Studios and I encourage you and your party to make those. Currently, opportunities to join the virtual queue for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is available every day at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Eastern. This means, you will have to make sure you and all the members of your party that want to ride the attraction will have to be inside Disney’s Hollywood Studios Park before the distribution times, 10 a.m. or 2 p.m. You must log in to your My Disney Experience app and select “Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance Virtual Queue” on the home screen. You will be able to view the status and can follow the next steps to join the virtual queue. The Disney Parks Blog post about joining the virtual queues states, “As long as your My Disney Experience account is linked to park tickets for you and the others in your group, you can enroll everyone in the virtual queue at the same time. In order to give as many guests as possible the opportunity to join the Resistance, each guest can enter the virtual queue no more than once per day.” This way, you can make sure everyone selects the people who want to ride the attraction so you are all able to ride together.

Lurline, may the Force be with you all!
