Hey there, Angie!
From all of us here at planDisney, welcome! Thanks for coming to us with your question. I'm excited to hear that you are contemplating a trip to the Disneyland Resort! I can certainly help shed some light on tickets.
You may purchase tickets through the main
Disneyland website at any time. I know plenty of people who buy tickets just to protect against a future price increase. Thankfully, Disneyland Resort
Theme Park tickets have very long shelf lives. For example, if you were to purchase a multi-day ticket today, it would not expire until January 12, 2025. You will be asked to make
Park reservations to accompany your tickets. Reservations may be made up to 120 days in advance. However, if you aren't ready to commit to traveling to the Disneyland Resort just yet, you could still purchase your tickets and make "placeholder" reservations that you can always change or cancel at a later date (it's always nice to cancel if you know you aren't going in order to free up the slot for another Guest). As long as you have those unused tickets attached to your account, you can always re-schedule reservations for later.
Even if you do allow the tickets to expire, per the
Terms and Conditions, you can apply the price of a wholly unused, expired ticket to the purchase of a new ticket, so you would have some options available to you regardless.
I think it's a great year to visit the Happiest Place on Earth! The
Disney100 Celebration is going on and Disneyland Park looks so festive. Plus, they've just announced that
"Rogers: The Musical" will be coming to Disney California Adventure this summer, so that's a must-see for any Marvel fan. And you must absolutely try the newest attraction,
Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway, which has become one of my favorites!
I hope you found this helpful, Angie, and that you are able to make it over to the Disneyland Resort soon! If you need more planning tips and advice, please feel free to visit us again at planDisney!
Have a Magical Day!
