E komo mai (Hawaiian for "welcome") to planDisney! It sounds like you have an upcoming trip to one of my favorite Disney Resorts,
Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa. I spent a little over a week there to celebrate a milestone birthday and can’t wait to book my next trip there. Now, let’s dive into your question on booking the Executive ‘AMA’AMA Lanai at Aulani!
Tim, I reached out to a Cast Member at the Resort and they confirmed that you can
book shaded retreats such as the Executive Lanai 90 days prior to your arrival. They also added that bookings open 8:00 AM, local time and often sell out quickly. I recommend having your Resort reservation number handy at the time of booking. Booking one of the shaded retreats such as the casabellas or the cabanas is a great way to secure that a spot at one of the many areas of the Resort that overlook the lagoon or are near some of the popular pools. With the Executive Lanai, you’ll also receive amenities such as a fruit platter and bottles of water to keep you refreshed and hydrated! Note that there is only one Executive Lanai at the Resort, so wishing you all the pixie dust that you’re able to secure a reservation during your stay!
If rest and relaxation is important for you during this trip, I highly recommend a visit to
Laniwai - A Disney Spa. My wife gifted me a massage from the spa and it was such a unique experience. The outdoor area Kula Wai also offers relaxation through waterfall rain showers and several whirlpools to get you relaxed beforehand.
