    Are there services on the Disney Adventure (based in Singapore) for speakers of Mandarin Chinese (esp. from Mainland China+Taiwan)? Does the safety video have Chinese subtitles, and are there stateroom hosts, evacuation crew, etc. who speak Mandarin?

    Ahoy Jesse and welcome to planDisney! I see that you’re interested in sailing aboard the Disney Adventure, how exciting! As a Mandarin Chinese speaker myself, I appreciate your question and am happy to provide an answer for you.

    According to this Disney Cruise Line website, English is the primary language for onboard activities, publications, menus, movies, and shows aboard the Disney Adventure. However, many of the Cast and Crew Members, including stateroom attendants and waitstaff, aboard the Disney Adventure speak Mandarin Chinese. You may be able to request waitstaff who speak Mandarin Chinese by contacting Disney Cruise Line prior to your sailing, although such requests aren’t always guaranteed.

    Jesse, in case your travel party needs further or specific assistance with translation and interpretation, I suggest downloading a third-party translation app, specifically one that allows you to download certain languages for offline use. These are some apps that even have the capability to provide instantaneous translation by just taking a picture of the text!
