Welcome aboard, Nicole! Disney Cruise Line offers some amazing Port Adventures in Cozumel, as they do in all their ports, so you're in for a treat!
My daughter and I swam with the dolphins a couple of years ago and it really ranks up there as one of our favorite Port Adventures! Being able to not only interact with the beautiful dolphins, but experience that push across the pool was truly memorable! The two dolphin swims that you mentioned in Cozumel are very similar. The main differences in them are the push or ride you experience with the dolphin, and the location of the adventure. As the title suggests, the
Dolphin Discovery adventure treats you to a body board push by the dolphin with his nose on your toes across the pool, as well as a ride holding onto his pectoral fin, plus lots of interaction in between. The
Dolphinaris swim includes the pectoral tow but not the body board push, but more interaction time with the dolphin. Both are about 40 minutes long.
At Dolphin Discovery, you're actually on the grounds of the beautiful Chankanaab National Park, which is worth visiting on its own! After your dolphin swim, you'll get extra time to check out the other attractions at the park, like the beach, gorgeous gardens, archeological site replicas, and even a sea lion exhibit and show. Snorkeling is available at an extra cost.
Dolphinaris includes lunch and time at the beach where snorkeling is available, as are paddle boarding and kayaking. If you haven't tried paddle boarding before, you really should! It's so much fun! My kids, of course, go the hang of it right away, but I didn't take too much longer to get going. We love to paddle board now!
Have fun choosing, Nicole!
