We will be on the Fantasy with our entire family and would like to find out if there is some sort of behind the scenes tour of the inner workings of the ship that we could book for our Father?

Welcome aboard Rachelle! Is your family already counting down the days (and perhaps hours) until you set sail? Believe me when I say that you are in for one very magical vacation. From the time you arrive at Port Canaveral and board the ship as the Cast Members announce your family name and applaud your arrival, you'll have one magical moment after another!

The Fantasy offers a wonderful tour of the ship for guests that walks them throughout the main areas of the ship and offers them all sorts of exciting inside information on the design and plans behind how it was built. It is one of my favorite things to do on each ship, as I learn something new each time! The Art of the Theme Show Tour is offered a few times throughout each sailing, so if the first listing you see in the Personal Navigator doesn't work out time-wise, he can certainly catch the next day's tour.

It's so amazing to see how the Disney Imagineers came up with the designs of the ship, the themes that blend seamlessly from one section of the ship to another and all the details that are so amazing, but that you may otherwise miss. I highly suggest it for all the adults in your party! Disney is a storytelling company, after all, so you'll see and hear about how each part of the ship tells a story all its own! Plus, if you enjoy this tour early on in the cruise, you'll have a wonderful idea of spots you want to visit throughout the week.

No need to pre-book this tour. You'll see it listed in the Personal Navigator, which is the ship's schedule of events and activities. Just show up at the time and place listed and you'll be all set. The tour usually begins in Meridian on Deck 12, Aft, but be sure to check specifics for your particular sailing once you're onboard.

    Have fun planning!
