Ahoy, Christina!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It sounds like you have quite the crew ready to embark on a magical adventure this weekend on the Disney Fantasy! As you get ready to go on your high seas adventure this week, I suggest using the Disney Cruise Line
Packing List to help you with what to bring. It is a great resource especially when you are packing for a large family like yours. I also suggest checking out the 10-day forecast for the Caribbean islands you'll be visiting so you can be prepared for the right temperatures. Even in the summer months, I bring some clothes to layer because it can get chilly in the dining venues, lounges and theaters. Although there is plenty of food to eat on a Disney Cruise (24-hour room service!), you may want to bring some snacks for your stateroom or when going ashore. Disney Cruise Line does allow you to bring food onboard as long as it is pre-packaged and sealed in its original container.
If this is your first Disney Cruise, I also recommend lanyards for your sailors. These are great to keep the "Key to the World" cards safe while aboard and to hold your Disney pins because you can trade pins at sea! If you don't have time to purchase some prior to leaving, they do sell Disney Cruise Line themed lanyards in the gift shops onboard. And you'll also be able to find autograph books there. Your favorite Disney Characters will be happy to sign autographs during the meet and greet appearances so you may want to make some or pick some up while aboard.
A day bag for the first day is also important. My kids always want to head straight to the AquaDuck when we cruise on the Disney Fantasy, so I bring their bathing suits, flip flops and sunscreen in my bag. It may take a few hours for your checked luggage to arrive so it's great to either wear your bathing suit under your clothes or have it handy!
