    We are on the Fantasy in April and are using DCL transportation. Our flight doesn't leave until 5 PM after the cruise is over. When does the last bus back to the airport leave? Do we have time to do things in Port Canaveral to bide our time?

    Welcome aboard, Adam! Your family will absolutely love every single moment you spend on the beautiful Disney Fantasy. From kids' activities to adult activities, and of course the events for everyone in the family, you'll have something to keep you busy the entire time! Don't forget a ride on my favorite: the AquaDuck!

    Once debarkation begins after your cruise returns to Port Canaveral, the Disney Cruise Line ground transportation will continue to take guests back to the airport throughout the morning. All guests must disembark by 9:00 a.m., and the final bus will depart shortly after that. Unfortunately, that doesn't leave time to explore the port area before needing to be on the motorcoach. If you're not excited about spending the whole day at the airport, you might consider renting a car instead. There are many rental car offices near the port, most of them are the major rental companies, and the majority of them offer pick up service and will allow you to return your car at the Orlando airport. Many guests with very late flights like yours find that renting a car allows them time to go explore either Cape Canaveral or Cocoa Beach. Alternately, I think it's even more fun to drive to the Walt Disney World Resort and spend a few hours shopping and having lunch at Downtown Disney. The best part about that option is that when you get off the ship, you'll still have just a bit more Disney time to look forward to before you have to fly home. 

    Take a look at the different rental car companies and see what you think, Adam! That might be your best option. Happy planning!
