This is a fantastic site. My family will be at WDW the week of Easter. Do you recommend arriving at MK right when it opens or maybe going later in the early evening? When does the parks open up their gates for cars to enter? Thank you. Virginia CA

Hi, Virginia!  My family is going Easter week also, and I have heard from reliable sources that the theme parks have been super busy this week.  The Magic Kingdom has had to close for a bit of time two days this week due to being filled to capacity.

My suggestion would be for you to get to the Magic Kingdom as early as you can.  We're planning to be there at park opening.  The parking lot at Magic Kingdom opens about an hour and a half before the theme park opening, so you can get there nice and early.  The other parks open their parking lots about an hour before park opening.

You will probably be able to get into the Magic Kingdom later in the evening, but I think you're better off arriving early, then if you want to leave for the afternoon and return, you won't be so disappointed if it's too crowded to enjoy an evening at the theme park.

    Have a great time!
