    we are going to see the fantasmic show 4/24 and have reservations at sci fi for lunch and a dinner package at mama melroses, is the vip seating you get with the package worth the extra $? I have heard the vip seating is not the best.

    You have just described my family's favorite dining option for a day at Hollywood Studios. We love the quirky, fun atmosphere of SciFi Theatre, and Mama Melrose is our favorite choice for the Fantasmic dinner package.

    The seats that are reserved as part of the dinner package are the exact same seats available to the general public. The only difference is the general seating starts in the middle of the theatre and stretches to the left, where the reserved seating spans the right side of the ampitheatre. Personally we love the ease and convenience of the dinner package as it allows us access to Fantasmic seats without having to wait as long in the general admission line. We have sat in the front row numerous times using this package and have never heard a complaint regarding the seats.

    In regards to the pricing of the package, the seats for Fantasmic are included in your admission to Hollywood Studios. The package price is actually for the cost of your meal offered at the restaurant you have selected. While choices are always subject to change, the last Fantasmic package we dined on at Mama Melrose provided a choice of an appetizer, an entree and a dessert and there was a great selection offered that should please even the pickiest eater. Our favorite is the flatbread appetizer and the filet for the entree. I think you will be pleased with the value of the package after your delicious dinner and amazing show.
