Is the Fantasmic show appropriate for my sons 1 1/2 and 3 1/2 ?

That's a tough one.  My daughters are 1, 3 and 5 and they have never been scared at this show.  They are pretty fearless in general!

However, I know many parents have said that it was far too intense for their children.  The storyline is Mickey Mouse battling all the Disney villains in a dream, and while he does emerge victorious (who could doubt that?) there are some very dramatic scenes with the bad guys.  There are some amazing special effects, but they include fire which could also frighten young children.

If you go, try to sit near the back of the theater.  The special effects are less intense when viewed from a distance, and it will be easier for you to make an early exit if the need should arise.

One last note - while this show doesn't frighten my girls, it doesn't excite them either.  My husband loves the show but the kids and I could take or leave it without much consideration.  I feel it's a storyline more appealing to older children and adults.  Your little ones may enjoy it, but they won't be missing out if they don't see it either.

    Hope that helps!
