Hi William!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! One of the reasons why I love Walt Disney World Resort is because I can leave the vacation
transportation logistics to someone else! Fun Fact: If you add the number of boats used at Walt Disney World Resort to all of Disney's boats worldwide, you get a fleet the size of the world's fifth largest Navy.
The advisement that non-bus transportation ends 45 to 60 minutes after each Disney Theme Park closes is a general one. Park hours change based on the season, and so do the times of nighttime spectaculars. Daily transportation does take into account all scheduled evening plans and on nights when a specific fireworks show starts at the same time its park closes, the non-bus transportation will run a bit longer to take care of the guests who are waiting for the boats and monorails. You should be able to make it out of the Fantasmic! theatre and to the boat launch to catch a water launch in plenty of time. There are also Transportation Cast Members at the park exit who help direct guests on where to go who will notify you if the boats are on their last pickup or have already stopped running for the night.
Do note that
boats from Disney's Hollywood Studios do only go to a handful of nearby Disney Resort Hotels, which include Disney's BoardWalk Resort, Disney's Yacht Club Resort, and Disney's Beach Club Resort. The Walt Disney World Swan Hotel and Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel can also be accessed by boats from this theme park.
Disney's Resort Bus Transportation will continue to pick up until two hours after the parks closing, and Minnie Vans operate until 12:30 A.M. daily should you need a back up to your back up.
We'll See You Real Soon, William!
