hi! my family's planning our first disney vacation and we're planning to stay at the pop century resort. what's the difference between the standard room & preferred room? thanks!

Hi Melinda! Like they say in real estate: location, location, location. That's the only difference between a preferred room and a standard room at Disney's Pop Century resort. The preferred rooms are located closest to the main building, which houses the food court, the bus stop, and the main pool. Because of this proximity, preferred rooms cost about $15 more per night than standard rooms. If someone in your party has mobility issues, or if you like being close to the pool, bus stop, and restaurant, you might find it worthwhile to spend a little more for a preferred room. If you're frugal like me and don't mind walking a little farther, just book a standard room and save the extra money for Mickey ice cream bars in the parks!

I'm sure you're so excited to be planning your first trip to Walt Disney World! If you have more questions, please don't hesitate to come visit us here at the Moms Panel! We'd love to help!
