    This is my family's 1st Disney vacation & so far the planning and booking seems really overwhelming. We're planning to stay at the Finding Nemo hotel but other than that no decisions have been made. What parkand dining arrangements you recommend?

    Nmesoma,

    Don't let all the choices get to you. Options are a good thing, and while they may seem overwhelming, they just mean you can customize your trip to your family's interests and needs. Let's look at some of the basics;

    Hotel: Done. You have picked a great choice, and I am sure you will love it.

    Parks: Where you go can vary with the ages of your family members. With smaller kids you will spend more time at the Magic Kingdom, but adult only parties will probably skew to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Remember that all parks have something of interest for all ages, so don't feel like you have to skip one or another park. As a rule, I say that most parties should spend 2 days at the Magic Kingdom for a day each at the other three parks.

    Dining: For a first time just keep it simple. Plan one sit-down meal per day. You know when you eat more, be it at breakfast, lunch, or dinner. But if you can avoid having the big meal at lunch, that would be ideal. You don't want to have a long meal right in the middle of your theme park day.

    Extras: For a first time visitor, coming to Walt Disney World IS the extra! So don't go too crazy thinking how you could make it 'more special'. The trip itself is special, and augmenting is not really necessary.

    Let's do this. You need help, and we are here to assist. Why don't you write me back with details on your party (ages, genders, interests), dates of travel, and we can work from there. I can help you with what park to visit on what day in one answer. On the next I can recommend a few restaurants at each location. Just break up your questions into smaller blocks so I have enough room to give you answers that help you decide what is best for you!

    Have a magical vacation!
