My family&I have decided to go to DW, November 30th-December 7th of 2013! We are planning to stay in the standard rooms at the new art of animation resort. Does anyone think we will be able to use the new pool that week or is it typically to cool?

    Hi Shawna,

We're all so excited for the opening of the new Art of Animation resort. I can't wait for it to join the family of Disney resorts.

I've been to WDW during the first week of December four times. Once the temperatures were in the mid-80s, once the temperatures were in the mid-70s, once the temperatures were in the mid-60s, and once the temperatures were in the mid-50s. Obviously this tells you that while the average is somewhere in the low 70s, it's possible to experience almost anything. There's a chance that you'll find the weather to be anywhere from hot to downright chilly.

That being said, all the pools at WDW are heated to a comfy 83 degrees year round. I've seen many guests swimming in the pools even when the outside air temperature was in the 40s. If you want to swim during your trip, you'll certainly be able to.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
