Our family had a wonderful time visiting the water parks in 2017. While there we purchased 2 of the refillable mugs. We are hoping to visit Typhoon Lagoon again in August 2019 and were wondering if we were still able to reactive our 2017 mugs?

Hello, Nicole, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

My family and I absolutely love the Walt Disney World Resort Water Parks, and we remember to bring our refillable mugs with us each trip! One of the biggest selling points for me was the ability to re-activate the mugs for later visits. At Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, you should be able to re-activate your mugs at any location where mugs are sold, and you’ll see the one-day re-activation price posted next to the initial purchase price on the menu board. Keep in mind that unlike the refillable mugs included with a Dining Plan purchased as a part of your official Walt Disney World Resort hotel stay, the mugs purchased at Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park or Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park are only valid for the day of purchase and are only valid in the Water Parks.

When my family and I visited the Water Parks during Spring Break last month, having our refillable mugs was a wonderful way to stay cool and hydrated throughout the day. I especially enjoy the flexibility of the Coca-Cola Freestyle Machine near Typhoon Tilly’s at Typhoon Lagoon because you can fill your mug with a wide variety of non-carbonated beverages (my personal favorite being Strawberry Dasani).

My favorite attraction at Typhoon Lagoon, Miss Adventure Falls, opened in March 2017, so I’m not sure if you and your family had a chance to experience it during your last visit. You absolutely must put it on your list! As the longest Water Park ride in Disney Parks history, it’s definitely not-to-be-missed. We also love spending time in Castaway Creek: my daughter would stay in there all day if we let her!

I hope you have an excellent time at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park this summer, Nicole. Please let us know if there are any other questions we can answer as you prepare for your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation.
