Ahoy, LaToya!
You are in for a jolly holiday this year when your crew sets sail for an extra magical vacation aboard Disney Cruise Line. You are cruising around the same time I did last December when I experienced picture perfect weather especially on the day the ship docked at
Castaway Cay. I hope that will be the same for you, LaToya! I loved every minute of my holiday sailing including all the festive decor! It was fun to see the cruise terminal, the ship and Castaway Cay all decked out! The wreaths, trees, garland and life-sized Gingerbread House were all absolutely gorgeous. Your pictures are going to be fantastic!
As I think back to my
Very Merrytime Cruise last yEAR, the only holiday-themed event I signed up for was Gingerbread House Making. Space is limited so you'll want to head to the Port Adventure Desk on the first afternoon to secure your tickets. The good news is that they offer it several times throughout each sailing. Other events I would not miss are Mickey's Tree Lighting Magic, Santa's Winter Wonderland Ball (I would be on Deck 3 in the lobby atrium for this one) and the Deck the Deck Tropical Holiday Party. Plan to arrive at least 10-15 minutes early to secure your viewing spot for these events. I also recommend getting in line early for Santa Claus and the Characters when they are in their adorable holiday attire. Your cruise newsletter will have all the details including any other special events that require a sign-up.
Thank you for sending in your question, LaToya! Please write back if we can assist you further with your plans.
