My family of 4 has 2 WDW vacations booked in 2020, base tix plus resort reservations. When we arrive in January, I plan to upgrade my ticket to an AP. Once I do that, how would I update our reservation in November 2020 since I would no longer require tix?

Hey there, hi there, ho there, Lindsey! I hEAR you have two vacations to The Most Magical Place on Earth coming up!

I think it's very smart to consider upgrading to an Annual Pass. As a Walt Disney World Passholder, you'll be entitled to a whole yEAR of magic, including dining and merchandise discounts, and unlimited Disney PhotoPass downloads. To upgrade your theme park tickets to an Annual Pass, you will need to stop by any Walt Disney World Theme Park Ticket Window or Guest Relations location, and you must have at least one full day of admission left on your tickets. I would recommend that you upgrade your tickets early on during your trip so you can advantage of these benefits during your trip in January.  Afterward, if you booked your vacation through the Walt Disney World website, you can call to modify your reservation to make it a "Room Only" reservation or a basic package if you want to include other package components such as the Disney Dining Plan.

2020 is going to be an exciting yEAR for you, Lindsey! Between all the transformations happening at Epcot, Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway, Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, and of course, the magic of the holidays, there will be so much to see and do!  If you have any more questions about becoming an Annual Passholder or any other Walt Disney World Resort vacation concerns, please let us know. See ya' real soon!
