We are a family of 4 and have been to WDW. We are traveling with a family of 5,who haven't been, in late July of 2017. All children are 10-15. What is the best budget friendly resort for our diff. family sizes? Are there any history of discounts then?

    Hi, Kellie!
Thanks for reaching out to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I am excited you get to introduce the fun of Walt Disney World Resort with a family of first-timers! I'm hoping to do the same with a family I adore later this year. It's going to be so much fun.

I would offer it's worth looking for possible deals at Disney's Art of Animation Resort. There are sometimes discounts for the Family Suites. Sometimes there are discounts for the traditional Little Mermaid rooms (which are a traditional-style room for four). The entire resort area is full of fun pools and fun themes. For a first-timer and a fifth timer, it's worth visiting at least once! My family stayed at the resort with a combination of traditional rooms and family suites and it gave us an excuse to wander all over the property. All of the pools are super fun. The Disney Imagineers did incredible work.

The Disney's All-Star Music Resort also has some Family Suites mixed into the standards rooms. There are sometimes deals at that resort as well. Keep an eye on the Special Offers page!

I hope those tips help! I'm excited for your unforgettable visit with friends. Please let me know if I can help with any other planning questions!
