Hi Diane!
October is one of my favorite times of year to visit. The crowds are usually lighter and the weather is not quite as hot. One of my favorite specially ticketed events at Walt Disney World is
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. You can Trick or Treat in the parks (and get awesome candy!), see the Boo to You Parade and HalloWishes, the special Halloween fireworks show! You will also get to meet characters that you can't meet during other times of the year. We were able to meet Jack Skellington, Maleficent and Jafar. There is a
Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular with many of the Disney villains. This is a specially ticketed event, meaning you will need to purchase tickets to the party and the park will close at 7:00 p.m. for all guests who do not have tickets. This means less crowds and more time to ride attractions!
The
Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular is a great fireworks and light show at Disney's Hollywood Studios. It's absolutely amazing with the fireworks surrounding you, music and lasers. This is included with admission to the park. This show is offered year-round. If I had to choose between the two, I would chose Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party because you can only do that in October and there is a lot more included in the fun.
I hope you have a magical trip!
Magically,
Stacy
