Hiya, Tammy! I'm so glad you found the second star to the right and followed it straight on to us at planDisney.
There's nothing better than visiting
The Most Magical Place on Earth during the most wonderful time of year! I'm so happy that your family is planning on spending quality time together at Walt Disney World Resort, which I fully believe is the best gift of all.
In my personal experience, dates in December tend to get booked up farther in advance than at other times of the year. When my husband and I plan to visit Walt Disney World Resort in December, we like to book our
Disney Resorts Collection hotel for a longer length of stay to accommodate any potential changes in plans. Then, once we have a better idea of the exact dates of our trip, we trim down a few days until we're left with our solid dates. I really like this idea because, more often than not, we actually have wished we booked our trip for MORE days than we originally planned! By booking a longer length of trip initially, we know that we have the ability to stay for that entire length of time, or we can modify our trip to shorten it if needed. This is my best tip when visiting in December!
Once you book your trip, I would suggest that you also purchase your tickets and make Theme Park Reservations using the
Disney Park Pass system. This is an important step to reserve the parks you wish to visit on each day of your trip. Also, keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog, which always releases up-to-date and exciting news - such as
the return of Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party,
where to find ornaments, and a
Halfway to the Holidays merchandise preview! And if you're looking for some extra magic as you wait for your December trip, take a listen to the
planDisney Podcast!
Wishing you the merriest trip in December, Tammy! If you have any other questions, please visit us again.
