we are a family of 9 wanting to board early -- 11am. we currently have different later times. Is Disney a stickler for only boarding at your stated time, or if we arrive earlier, are we likely to get to board? Thanks

Welcome aboard, Linda! It sounds like you're getting ready to set sail with your extended family on what is sure to be one very magical cruise!

The time that you chose during online check-in is actually your port arrival time. The port will open right around 11:00 and you'll be able to begin checking in at the desk and receive your boarding number. Boarding does not being until around noon or so and is done by number that you'll receive at the port. If you have a later port arrival time, you are still welcome to arrive at the port early, that is not a problem at all. The arrival times are to help thin out the crowds a bit, I believe, so that not all guests are showing up at exactly the same time. Your family will not be turned away if you arrive before your assigned port arrival time.

Do bring some pre-packaged snacks and activities to keep the little ones busy at the port terminal, though, because there will be some time to wait before you board. Also, keep an eye out for Mickey who usually shows up just before boarding begins for pictures and meet and greets with guests!

Stop back with any other questions you might have before you set sail, Linda! I'm happy to help!
