Hi Deborah!
Easter is a great time to visit Walt Disney World! You'll find that as the holiday approaches, there will be some extra magical touches added to the parks and resorts.
While the schedule of holiday events has not yet been released, the Disney Parks Blog is a great place to keep an eye on for future announcements. One of the highlights for the holiday will be appearances by the Easter Bunny and Mrs. Bunny at the Magic Kingdom. Here are more details about the
special characters and events from 2019.
In addition to the Magic Kingdom, many of the resorts showcase different varieties of Easter Eggs. The Grand Floridian is a great resort to include in your visit. They have a spectacular display of
Easter Eggs and special Easter treats. Many Walt Disney World Resorts will host egg hunts as well. We always make sure to schedule a time to tour the resorts and experience the fun.
Don't forget about Disney Springs as well. The restaurants and shops at Disney Springs will host a variety of
special food and shopping experiences. I'm sure you'll spot a few unique finds to give a special Disney touch to your Easter Basket!
If you'd like to include a religious celebration in your vacation plans, Disney's Contemporary Resort usually hosts several offerings. Ask for a calendar of events when you arrive at your Walt Disney World Resort.
Last, but not least, the
Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival will often host a special Easter scavenger hunt or similar-type event. Be sure to grab a festival guide during your stay to see if it will be occurring during your vacation.
I hope you have a wonderful Easter and a magical vacation!
Kathie
