Hi Pal,
I absolutely love your question! It might be the "Homeschool mom" in me showing, but we are always looking for ways to grow while having a blast. A little economic independence for your sweet son while on vacation sounds like the very best way to practice budgeting. Can you imagine how much more fun economics could have been if we were learning to budget while deciding between a Mickey Pretzel and a churro? That's the life!
I am happy to share with you that I have seen the miniature
Disney Gift Cards on the fun plastic spiral bracelet at various
Disney Resort hotel shops. In particular, I have definitely seen them at
Bayview Gifts at
Disney's Contemporary Resort and at
Conch Flats General Store at
Disney's Old Key West Resort, which leads me to believe that they are likely at most shops. They are usually right by the checkout in a small, clear, plastic display, so they are easy to miss! If you can't find one while you are there, be sure to ask one of the friendly Cast Members if they can point you in the right direction.
Hey Barbara Daniela, since you're going to be visiting Walt Disney World Resort in June, have you considered a visit to
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon? A day crashing through the waves in the Surf Pool or exploring the white-water of
Miss Adventure Falls would really make the most of that beautiful Florida sunshine. While you're there, maybe your son could even treat his beloved mom to a Root Beer Float from
Happy Landings Ice Cream with his fancy new Disney Gift Card!
I hope that was helpful. Come on back and visit us with any other questions, Friend. We are here for YOU!
Adventure is out there,
Sally
