My family was at Walt disney World in the fall of 2010. We might be planning a vacation Feb or march of 2013. What changes have taken place and are any more in the works for the mext year?

    Michele,

There have been some additions since 2010, so there will be new things for you to see. But that is almost always true at Walt Disney World.

HOWEVER, if you are going to visit in the spring of 2013, you will be seeing one of the most significant changes to the Magic Kingdom that they have ever undertaken!

We are all excited about the Fantasyland expansion that is going to start to roll out this spring. It will include two new castles (Eric's from Little Mermaid and the Beast's from Beauty and the Beast). It will include new restaurants, like Gaston's Pub and a Belle themed table service experience. There will be new attractions, from Princess Meet-and-Greet areas to a new thrill ride themed to the Seven Dwarfs, to an underwater adventure with Ariel.  Oh, and Dumbo will grow to two rides, not just the current one.

Now this all has come at the cost of Toontown. That land is no more. But I think the exciting developments will outweigh what we might have lost.

And that is just the changes in the Magic Kingdom. There is a new resort (Art of Animation, a value resort with Family Suites), changes in the former Pleasure Island, the upgrade of Star Tours, and a lot more than I can list here.

I hope that is enough to get you excited? If you have more specific questions, just jump to my bio page and ask me!

    Have a magical vacation!
