Hi, My family and I have been visiting WDW for 12 years and we always come in Oct. or Jan. This year we were thinking about coming in May. Do you have any suggestions on what week in May to go? Also do you know what the weather and crowds are like?thanks

I have been to WDW in both early and late May (Cinco de Mayo and Memorial Day). My opinion is that earlier in May you visit the happier you'll be.

As far as crowds go, the months you mention, January and October, are both among the slowest at WDW. Most of May is a bit more crowded than that (most of the guidebooks list May as "average attendance"), but the crowds won't get super-heavy until the week before Memorial Day.

The temperatures in May have an average high of 88 degrees and an average low (at night) of 66 degrees. The beginning of the month will obviously be a bit cooler and more manageable than the end of the month. As far as rain goes, you may see some showers, but not the more substantial downpours you would see in the summer.

If you're visiting in May, you'll want to stop at the Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot. The grounds there never look more beautiful than at this event.

    Enjoy your trip!
