Hi, my family will be visiting WDW in June for the first time. My son's are 11 and 16...we will be celebrating his 16th birthday while there. We will be there for 6 days with PH passes. Anything we MUST do?? or any tips???

    Hi, Chrissy!
I'm so excited for your first visit to Walt Disney World Resort! It looks like you have planned out an epic visit!

If I had six days to enjoy Park Hopper tickets, I would highly recommend visiting each of the four parks across your first four days. I often pick the parks based on which one has early Extra Magic Hours. (We usually choose to stay at a resort on Disney property so we can take advantage of Extra Magic Hours.) I've learned through the years that Disney vacationers don't always wake up early enough to get to the parks when they open. You can ride SO many attractions in the early hours. Make sure you visit all four parks for evening shows: From Wishes Nighttime Spectacular in Magic Kingdom Park to the new Rivers of Light at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. After you're an expert in all four parks, let the birthday boy pick his favorite park for the day! Then set the sixth day as a family decision.

Don't forget to experience a Dole Whip at least once! I'd also recommend making sure you take time to enjoy your resort. Check out the pool! Maybe visit some of the resorts along the Monorail. Another one of my kids' favorite things to do during a visit to Walt Disney World Resort is look for hidden Mickeys everywhere they go. Disney Imagineers are awesome at hiding Mickey shapes.

I hope I have set you out toward a plan for which park to visit. Let me know if I can help with any other questions before you arrive!
