Hi, my family is visiting wdw for the first time in May. On the day of our arrival can we eat at any restaurant in any park, just the park our resort is in, or just at our resort? Also does the dining plan include our arrival day? Thank you!

    Hi there Erin!

How exciting to be planning your first Walt Disney World vacation! I am happy to report that you can dine at any of the restaurants on property on your day of arrival. That being said, if the restaurant you choose is located inside one of the four main theme parks or two water parks, you will need park admission in order to dine at that location. Theme park admission is not required when dining at a Disney Resort hotel or Disney Springs, a fun entertainment district featuring restaurants, shopping and entertainment options galore.

The Disney Dining Plan will be available on your day of arrival so you are more than welcome to use your dining entitlements following check-in to your Disney Resort hotel. Follow this link to learn more about the 2016 Disney Dining Plan

I hope this information is helpful. Please don't hesitate to stop by again with any additional questions that you may have. Best wishes for a magical first trip, Erin!

    Bon Appétit,
