My family and I will be visiting WDW 12/09 for the first time. We would like to enjoy breakfast in each of the parks. Do the restaurants open before the parks generally? If so, can we enter the parks to eat? How early can we get in?

    Jessica,

That is a great plan, starting with breakfast in the parks.

Yes, select table service restaurants do traditionally open before the parks open. You would need to have an Advance Dining Reservation for one of these locations during pre-park hours to get in (as opposed to the rest of the day where you could also just walk up to see if there is a free table).

Most of these restaurants open at either 8:00 am or 8:30 am, whereas the parks usually open at around 9:00 am.

To get in before the park opens, simply go up to the entry gates. You will find a server from the restaurant standing by one of the gates, usually to one side, holding a clipboard. They will confirm that you have a reservation, and then will let you in (checking your ticket, of course). There will be a roped off walkway to the restaurant for you to follow to your destination.
