Hi, my family and I are going to be visiting WDW Feb 2023. We are arriving on Presidents Day and we are there through the Princess marathon days. I would like to know which parks are best to avoid during this time (please specify dates) Thanks!

Hello, Sadia! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. We're glad you're here!

More than 25,000 princesses trade their glass slippers for running shoes each February and head to Orlando for the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend. While I am a frequent participant, I understand your concern about how race weekends may impact the park crowds. On race days, the parks will be less crowded in the early morning, with runners showing up around lunchtime. If you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, take advantage of Early Theme Park Entry! Likewise, with those middle-of-the-night wake-up calls, most runners are inclined to leave the parks by late afternoon, so you should see lower crowds in the evenings.

Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT are the most popular parks for medal photos. I would avoid them on the days of the 10K (Saturday, 2/25) and half marathon (Sunday, 2/26). Animal Kingdom Park rarely seems affected by race crowds. Due to its smaller footprint, Disney's Hollywood Studios can feel more crowded during race weekends, but if you arrive early or stay late, you should be fine. Also, keep in mind that there will be road closures for the races, so getting around is a bit more difficult, especially on Sunday morning. Therefore, give yourself extra time to get to your destination.

I hope this helps, Sadia! Please reach out if there's anything else you need, and have a magical time with the ones you love!
