My family is visiting WDW to celebrate my daughter's 8th b-day in May. We're staying at AKL and I'm confused about the safaris available for AKL guests. Is Wanyama Safari for guests or is it a public attraction? Also, does the Wanyama Safari cost extra?

What a great way to spend your daughter's birthday, Cecelia. The Wanyama Safari is an exclusive event for guests of the Animal Kingdom Lodge and the Animal Kingdom Lodge Villas. The Safari is offered on specific days, and is limited to a maximum of 12 resort guests. It is followed by a family-style dinner served at Jiko in the Animal Kingdom Lodge. There is an additional cost for the Safari, which must be booked by phone by calling (407) 938- 4755.

Don't forget to register your daughter's birthday for the What Will You Celebrate? celebration, and Walt Disney will give her free park admission on her special day.
