My family and I are visiting the Magic Kingdom on 4th of July Want to know if we leave the park to go back to the resort will be able to get back in the park later?

    Hi Sarah,
This is a tough question to answer. When the parks are very close to capacity, Walt Disney World Resort guests are the last ones that are typically allowed admittance to a park. That said, on rare occasions, the parks are completely closed and no additional guests are allowed to enter.

I have been to the Magic Kingdom for the past two years on the 4th of July and it's been incredibly crowded but they have not completely closed park entry to resort guests. I would suggest leaving and returning to the park as early as possible if you must leave to ensure that you can re-enter.

If you're trying to beat the midday heat, I would suggest visiting the Hall of Presidents, the Carousel of Progress and Mickey's PhilharMagic as great places to sit in air conditioned comfort in the middle of a hot summer day.

Sarah, enjoy your 4th of July visit! Despite the heat and crowds, I'll be there again this year!

    Best Wishes,
    Amy B.
