My family is visiting Florida we want to go to Walt Disney World can my sister who lives there purchase tickets for us along with her kids we are taking?

Welcome to planDisney, Lila! I’m so excited to know that you have a Holiday visit to the Walt Disney World Resort in the works! Thanks for sending us your planning question.

When it comes to purchasing and using Florida Resident theme park tickets, every adult over the age of 18 must show proof of Florida Residency. Your sister is welcome to purchase Florida resident theme park tickets for any child visiting with you who is under the age of 18.

It's very important for your sister to activate those theme park tickets. She can do so at a theme park ticket window at any of the theme parks, or the Disney Springs guest services location by showing her proof of residency before any members of your party try to use those theme park tickets.

Lila, there’s so much to see at the resort during the month of December! Be sure to browse the Disney Parks Blog in the months before your visit for a look at all of the new experiences, activities and foods you and your family can enjoy on your vacation!

Thanks again for sending us your planning question. For more advice, follow us on social media. It’s always our pleasure to share our planning tips with you!
