Welcome to planDisney, Sharon!
How wonderful that you'll be celebrating the 6th birthday of your sweet little Princess at the Disneyland Resort! I can't think of a more magical way to make a child feel special on their birthday and it would be my pleasure to brainstorm some ideas for you.
Beginning the day with
Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures is a fantastic way to kick off a magical day! Your little Mouseketeer will be greeted by Disney Princesses before experiencing an elegant three course meal at
Napa Rose. She'll receive a special keepsake souvenir by which to remember this special day.
I would definitely recommend picking up a
Complimentary Birthday Button and having the birthday girl wear it prominently all day. These may be obtained at Guest Relations or you can ask at the Hotels if you are starting there. I love the smile I see on kids' faces when everyone participates in their special day to wish them a happy birthday.
For your Princess to be treated like true Disney Royalty, consider having a makeover at the
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. If you opt for a package that does not include a Princess gown, I've seen crafty Guests bring their own with which to surprise their little one. Don't forget to capture the moment with the many
Disney PhotoPass photographers located throughout the Parks!
For a special souvenir from the day, I love the
Silhouette Studio on Main Street, U.S.A. and the caricature artist at the exit to Pirates of the Caribbean. They'll be able to capture this moment in time with a unique twist! I have a portrait of my son at a time in his life when he lost his two front teeth and I love that the artist was able to commemorate this moment. Also, bring an autograph book (or better yet, an extra large birthday card!) to have every character she meets on that day sign a happy birthday to her.
Since they'll be visiting during the
Lunar New Year Festival at Disney California Adventure, get her involved in the children's activities there. There may be Cast Members there who will write out her name in Chinese and perhaps they can also pen a happy birthday message to her. And have your little one leave a birthday wish on the Wishing Wall!
Fun Fact: Near the caricature artist, you'll find
Fortune Red, a fortune telling machine in New Orleans Square. If you have the
Play Disney Parks App, you'll be able to get a free souvenir from him.
Sharon, I hope that answer was helpful for you. I wish your little one a very happy birthday and hope that she has the most magical time at the Happiest Place on Earth! Please feel free to come by again if you have more questions for us. You're always welcome at planDisney!
Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!
