My family are visiting in april 2013, but staying in lake buena vista. Do you have to be a hotel guest to take character dining in the resort hotels

Hi, Michael!  You absolutely do NOT have to be a Walt Disney World resort guest to enjoy dining at any of the resort or theme park restaurants - not even the character meals!  You can book your dining experiences 180 days in advance of your chosen date either online at Walt Disney World Dining and Reservations or by calling 407-939-3463.

I will also mention that the character dining experiences are very popular, so as soon as you know you'd like to do a character meal, book right away!  The most popular ones include Cinderella's Royal Table and Chef Mickey's, and you may find that they book up completely well in advance.

    Have a great vacation!
