We are a family of vegetarians. We chose the quick-service plan, thinking we could all grab veggie burgers at each park. If the kids have to order off the kids menu, it has no options! (they don't eat dairy) What can we do?

There some non-meat, non-dairy options on the quick-service children's menus at Walt Disney World. Many of the restaurants offer a peanut butter and jelly sandwich on their regular kids menu (usually a Smuckers Uncrustable). There are also pasta dishes offered on some children's menus. Other dishes may be modified by the restaurant to suit your needs. For example, many of the restaurants that serve pizza may be able to leave off the cheese. For more information on what some of your choices are, go to the independent website allearsnet.com. Search there for an article called "Vegetarian/Vegan Counter Service Meals in the Parks." Also on that website, you can find the menus for nearly every restaurant at WDW, take a look there for further information.

You would have more options if you upgraded from the quick-service dining plan to one that includes table service dining. You have MANY more food options at the table service restaurants. The table service restaurants also have more ability to customize food and will often send a chef out to the dining room to consult with you on your needs.

Several of the Moms on the Panel are vegetarians. You can read some of their insights HERE, HERE, HERE, and HERE.
