My family of 6 has a vacation scheduled July 6-12 at POR, my parents in one room and the family of 4 (me, DH, DD, DS) in another. While reviewing my reservation, I noticed that my room states "water view - pirate". Any idea what the "pirat

Hi, Gary!  Some of the rooms at the Caribbean Beach Resorted have been recently renovated to have a pirate theme!  If your reservation says "pirate", you are in one of the preferred pirate themed rooms.

The rooms feature beds with head boards and foot boards designed to resemble a pirate ship, and the carpeting in the room is done with a ship deck design.  There is a curtain that closes to offer privacy between the bathroom area and the bedroom, and the curtain features a large skull and cross bones.

You will also see the pirate theme in the "treasure" design on the bedspreads, and also carried out in the shower curtain, which boasts the Flying Dutchman and other sailing ships.  The art work in the room also depicts pirate scenes.

The room is adult and child friendly.  You won't find that the decor is overboard in any way, and it's fun for the children!

I hope you have a wonderful vacation!
