Kendra,
A quick service meal is a counter service dining experience. Think fast food joint. This is going to be a full meal, not just some snack. Typically it includes either a "combo" meal, or an entree, dessert, and non-alcoholic beverage. At breakfast it means juice, a beverage, and an entree. There is a
brochure online that you can print out that explains it better, and shows all the locations.
There are some great options around Walt Disney World where you can really get a great meal, even if it is not brought to your table. Try these, if you can;
- Magic Kingdom: Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe
- Epcot: Tangerine Cafe
- Hollywood Studios: ABC Commissary
- Animal Kingdom: Flame Tree BBQ
As for healthy food, you will find that Disney has tried to increase the number of healthy options, particularly for kids. There are still a lot of the traditional choices, but you are going to find more wraps, salads, and even vegetarian options as well. I think that while you may not stick to a specific diet, you will be able to feel good about your dining choices.
Have a magical (and delicious) vacation!
