My family would like to try a character breakfast on our trip next weekend. We have two daughters that are 15 months and 3 years old. Which would you recommend for our family--Crystal Palace or 'Ohana?

    Hi Kelly!

How exciting you will be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort next weekend!  Your vacation will be here before you know it.  Character Dining is such a fun way to meet the Disney Characters while enjoying a delicious meal. I have dined numerous times at both The Crystal Palace at Magic Kingdom Park and Best Friends Breakfast at 'Ohana in Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. I can honestly say that you can't go wrong with either location for a Character Dining breakfast.

The Crystal Palace is a charming restaurant that features Winnie the Pooh and friends. This dining location offers an all-you-care-to-enjoy buffet. Best Friends Breakfast at 'Ohana features Lilo, Stitch, Mickey and Pluto. Please know that characters are subject to change. This all-you-care-to-enjoy, tropical restaurant serves up delicious breakfast offerings family-style. I do love being able to stay seated at 'Ohana, as opposed to The Crystal Palace. At The Crystal Palace, I always felt like I had to time going up to the buffet with the Disney Characters coming by our table. In making your decision, you may want to consider the characters at each location and if your daughters have a personal preference. The Crystal Palace was our place of choice when my children were toddlers, with 'Ohana becoming our favorite when the kids were a bit older.

Although I do believe your daughters would love either Character Dining breakfast, I would personally choose The Crystal Palace based on their ages. I hope this information helps in making your decision. Please don't hesitate to stop by again with any additional questions that you may have in the days leading up to your trip. Best wishes for a magical vacation, Kelly!

    Bon Appétit,
