Hi! We will be going on a family trip to the World next May staying at POFQ. My son turns 3 the end of June so I understand that he is free. Will I have to bring proof of his age when we check in? What about at the restaurants? He is a big boy! Thanks!

Hi Elizabeth! One of the greatest deals at Walt Disney World is that kids under 3 can visit the parks and dine at the buffets free of charge!

My children were also big for their ages when they were toddlers, so like you, I always worried that the castmembers wouldn't believe they were only 2. We were sometimes asked their ages when we entered the parks or dined at a character buffet, but we were never required to produce proof that they were not yet 3. To keep your mind at ease, you could always bring a copy of your son's birth certificate with you or keep a photo of it on your smartphone, but it's generally not necessary to show proof of your little one's age.

Wishing you a magical spring vacation! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! We'd love to help!
