Hi there, Lynne! December is my favorite time to visit
Walt Disney World. The parks are decked out in holiday splendor, the
Magic Kingdom plays host to
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, and
Epcot has the
Candlelight Processional.
I highly recommend doing a little resort hopping in December. You'll find a life sized gingerbread house, where you can purchase some delicious holiday treats (
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa) or maybe a chocolate and gingerbread carousel. The trees at each resort are themed to the resort itself, and well worth making a visit to see some of them.
The
Epcot International Festival of the Holidays is just awesome. I love to take my girls to each of the countries in the World Showcase, where they get to hear stories about holiday traditions in other countries. You'll also have a chance to taste some global holiday flavors at the holiday kitchens.
Disney's Hollywood Studios has always had some holiday happenings. In recent years, Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! has lit up the night sky with a mixed media presentation that is definitely a must see for my family.
Have a happy holiday season, Lynne!
Anna
