Our family trip is planned for this April. According to the revised 180-day-out ADR policy, I can make reservations beginning on OCT 27. Am I crazy or will the system be overloaded that morning? Any advice?

Hey Jennifer!  I think every day is crazy when it comes to making ADRs.  The best advice I can give you is to truly begin calling 5 minutes before the lines open.  I know this sounds crazy, but I do it every time I book my ADRs and am generally successful in getting the ones I want.
Just set that alarm clock early and start dialing.  Also, try to be flexible,  If there is an ADR that you truly want, then try any of the days you will be at WDW.  I have done this several times, and it always worked out just fine to adjust my park schedule so that I could make that much sought after ADR.
Best of luck tomorrow on that call!  I hope you get all the reservations you and your family want for your trip in April.
