Family traveling 12/13 for 10 nights.YAY! When we get there we want to put our debit card on file, in order to use our World card for most of our purchases. Is there a per night hold place on a debit card? if so how much? is it different for credit cards?

    Hi Cynthia!

I'm such a fan of extended stays at Walt Disney World, so I'm thrilled to hear you'll be staying for 10 days...Woo Hoo!!!

When using your debit card for your room incidentals during check-in, Disney does not place a hold on monies in your account. Each resort has a pre-determined charge limits at all resorts: value $ 500; moderate $ 1,000 and deluxe $1,500. When these limits are reached, you card is charged. You can speak with guest services at your resort to inquire about debit/credit card limits and the process of extending these limits. These limits apply for all major credit cards, as well as debit cards with Mastercard and Visa ensignia.

Hope this helps you plan your magical vacation! -Malanie
